On Deck Thursday: Jobless Claims, Productivity Data


8:30 a.m. — Preliminary productivity and cost data is expected to show that nonfarm productivity continues to rise, increasing 1.5%.

8:30 a.m. — Weekly unemployment benefits, which have been better than expected lately, are expected to rise by 11,000 pushing the claims number up to 445,000. Last Thursday, the report showed initial unemployment claims falling by 21,000, to 434,000, down to levels unseen since July.
